I purchased the Nav-Vision Kit for $199.00 (because after buying my MDX I am broke and could not afford the SAM unit), last week and had a heack of a time putting it together, not because there was somthing wrong with the kit, because I THOUGHT I knew what I was doing, but gues what.. I can't solder for crap.. Well anyway I sent it bak to Rudy Z at Nav-Vision and he took pity on me and is fixing it up today.. GREAT customer service from those guys..
Well my real question is after I get it back, I am going to hook up a laptop to it, has anyone been able to figure out how to use the touchsreen to control a lpatop?
I know it is most likly impossible, but I thought I would ask you guys.
Thanks

Here is what you would have to do:
#1 Build a H/W device to hijack the PROCESSED signal from the touchscreen/ NAVI CPU and send this to something like a USB device.
#2 Write a driver to identify the new device to the laptop.
#3 Figure out how to 'interrupt' the touchscreen/NAVI interface w/o destroying it
#4 Make this plug & play
I've done projects with a LOT more limited scope and the clients have payed $500K or more to the team, SO I kinda doubt that this makes any economic sense BUT if there is hobbyist with a burning deserie to do this you never know... |

| Thanks, I thought it was possible, but way out of my league.. Seems though if someone did figure it out, it would most likly work for most Acura systems.. |
