Someone rear ended the wifes mdx today. A suzuki esteem tag me from the back at a red light. Young 20yr old student in her moms wagon. We only had this thing for 3 weeks. I'll post pics later.
The bumper did it's job absorbing the initial impact, but her car somehow nose-dived and it went under the back and bent the exhaust. To top all that off, I checked the back and it looks like all I need is a bumper cover and tips for the exhaust after it's straightened out.
A strange thing also happened. While waiting for "The Man", I here this strange noise coming from the rear of the truck like a motor or pump. The truck was still running and this happened 5 minutes after the accident. I wonder what it was. There were no leaks but when I tried to pull off there was a rubbing sound in the rear. It didn't appear to be a tire but maybe the exhaust is bent on the rear drive axles?
Dammit!!! I was taking the family to Myrtle beach this afternoon right before this happened. Oh well, the insurance company gave us a 2004 Envoy. I think I'll take my maxima. It's better on gas.
Anyway, just venting. I hope someone can tell me what that strange sound was coming from the rear after the accident. And for those who want to know, there were no injuries to myself or the young lady. Her bags deployed and probably scared the crap out of her. As she was crying her eyes out after wards. But my feelings were crushed to be hit an hour before my trip out of town. |

| Sorry for the accident but at least your family is fine. Can't really help you with the sound but perhaps if you post some pics, it may help. |

| Bummer, make sure you get the frame checked out to make sure nothing is bent. Fabvsix has a good idea about the spare. |

| The pump sound could be the VTM fluid pump malfunctioning. Have your dealer check it out. |
