| Well I bought a new 2004 Taffeta White MDX with navigation a few days ago. The buying experience was good except that one piece of the side molding the dealer installed is just slightly off. I am so picky and I am going to see if I can live with it or maybe try and fix it myself because it is a four hour round trip to the dealer. I decide to install the tailgate spoiler myself and I will put pictures up later today over in the accessories area. I am coming from a Dodge Ram truck which I really liked and it is going to take some getting use to the new wheels. Speaking of new wheels I got the chrome oem wheels with the new chrome inserts and I really like them. I also hope to do a frequency response test of the Bose system and post my findings later. Really glad there is this fine site to get information from. |

| Congratulations, I just took possession of mine yesterday and I love it. It seems so well put together and top notch fit and finish. The Nav system is a thing of beauty. Regarding the side mouldings, I was looking at my bare doors and all I could see is future dings and as such I will also be getting them.BTW, I think the stereo sounds awesome and the kids love the DVD system. There are a lot of toys to play with.:) |

| Thanks everyone for the kind words. I do like the white… that was the color of my truck. Also thanks MDteX, you may recall I emailed you about the spoiler and sidesteps. I really liked your pictures and they helped me select my accessories. The dealer did have a Taffeta White in the showroom with a lot of options including the sidesteps. I am around six feet and I had trouble getting in and out of the vehicle with the sidesteps installed. I really like their looks but I guess I will have to pass. I have posted the installation of the spoiler in the accessories area. Again thanks everyone and I know this site will be a helpful in the future. |

Hi jrtiger
Where did you get those nice chrome wheels with the chrome Acura logo inserts? Are they expensive? |

DannyBoy,
I got my wheels from the dealer, Superior Acura in Bakersfield, California. They had several MDXs on the lot with the chrome wheels. The inserts/caps where the original silver and you can see several of that type of wheel on this site. I think they got them from the LA area but not sure. There is a description of the vendor and ordering on ebay. I did call them and they have them in stock and indicate that the inserts are chrome but not sure if they are the same as mine. If I ordered through the ebay store they are $500.00 plus your oem wheels as a trade in. Shipping for me would be $45.00 one way, (total $90.00). I did the math and my dealer was charging approximately $100.00 more. I decided to stay with my dealer and when they came in I was happy to see the new chrome Acura caps. By the way the logo is raised and looks like the logo on the tailgate...really nice! So I guess the cost with installation, shipping , and wheels would be around $700.00. Obviously it is a judgment call for everyone but I really like the looks and I think it really sets off the white MDX. Here is a link to the ebay store with more information. Please note I am not sure if the ebay store has the same wheels that I got from the dealer!
