| I received a post card last night stating that Acura is sending me a Gift Card that is good at the dealer. Has anyone else received it? If you have, what’s the offer? |

Could it be a dealer specific or area specific promotion ?
I know that for my Mazda, I regularly get such special offers or "gifts" from the various area dealerships ! Apparently Mazda keeps track of the service records, and informs all the dealers in my area when my next service is due !
Usually all these "gifts" from the various dealers come to me mailbox on the same day :) |

| I got something similar to that before, after my dealer failed to fix my rear defroster problem properly the first time. One of my defrost line was broken and when I took it the dealer, they told me that whole rear windshield had to be replaced. To make a long story short, in the end, I had to take my mdx in for 4 times to get it fixed, because of waiting time for the windshield arrival and the 1st windshield they put in had one defective defrost line. I was frustruated about all of this and was going to give some negative feedback when Acura calls. But instead of getting a phone call, about a month later, I got a gift certificate at any Acura dealer for $100. Needless to say, I was pretty content with that. The letter that came with the certificate didn't mention anything about the recent service history, but said something similar to what's mentions on paulp's postcard. |

| "There's no such thing as a free lunch" - very true. However, I almost think that Acura might be randomly sending out these gift certificates for no reason. It may have been just a coincidence that I recieved mine right after the unfortunate service experience. |

You've read my mind. I want to know what the catch is. After almost three years I bought the X, the timing is suspicious! I keep you all up date once I received the "gift card."
Thanks all! |

| Those gift cards are sent and are dealer specific. You can use them at any dealership, however, the dealer you last went to is the one that sent the card to you. I got one and there where no strings attached. |

Just found two very nice gifts in my mailbox from my Acura dealer. First they sent me a $10 off coupon on my next oil change as a birthday present (this would be off of their standard $24.95 standard charge).
They also sent me a bunch of coupons worth a total of $700 for service and parts. The coupons include certificates for anything from $25-$100 off any service need, several $15 oil changes, and a $500 voucher to use off my next Acura car purchase.
I have received something like this in the past from my Jeep dealer, but am happily surprised to receive this from Acura.
Note: I believe these are all specific to the dealer I purchased the car from....Crown Acura in Greensboro, NC. |

I finally received the gift card for $100. I can use it for parts or services.
It does have my name and the dealer whom I purchased the X from, but the letter stated that I can use it at any participated dealer.
If Tim@Honda Acura World accepts it, I rather buy from him. |

The $100 card you received is actually a reward for that Acura Dealer for being "validated" under a long running Honda/Acura customer satisfaction program. Hopefully you will use this card at that store which is part of the pay back for some of the expenses incurred by the dealer under this validation. This program was started about two years ago and dealers are now becoming "Validated" as having met certain customer satisfaction criteria.
This is a major program from Honda to address many long standing customer dis-satisfaction issues at their dealers. Many other Honda/Acura will have these card issued under their respective names as they are evaluated as having met all the points under the EXCELL (Exceeding Customer Expectation Levels for Life) program. |
