I checked out audible.com per a friend's recommendation--definitely a bit expensive, but I figure the amount I'm on the road, this is a great service. For $20/month, you get 2 books of your choice/month...

| Only 1 issue there perk--I want to be legal about it! But if I didn't, that would be the way to do it... |

And NNTP binary newsgroups. There are several dedicated to audiobooks (or so I hear :) ) |

| Is there a good basic education site for learning about an iPod before I invest for my kids? I'm a good user of electronics but not anyway near a techie and want to understand how the thing works, connects to the pc, downloads, etc. before investing. |

Also, a great source for info on all things iPod is the iPod lounge at www.ipodlounge.com. It has a great forum on Audible.com as well.
I'm also a big advocate for Audible. It's made my long commutes bearable if not enjoyable. A great use for the iPod. |
