Well I think I'm going to have to buy a new one. I've had this iriver IFP 180-T for about a year and a half and now I'm getting phantom button pushes. I was able to hold off for a while by locking the hold button but now the whole thing is f'd. I can't get it to stay in the play mode before i lock it and sometimes it switches to the radio before I can. It will no longer let me re-format it. I even tried taking the whole thing apart but nothing seems dirty in it.
So here's the criteria...not sure if they can all be met.
1. Under $200 (under $150 better)
2. Has armband
3. Has at least 256k of space...would consider a big memory if it meets #4
4. Needs to be somewhat weatherproof...I sweat A LOT when I run
5. Rechargeable battery or single AA/AAA

| Even though it was several months out of warranty and it probably got a little wet from my sweaty workouts, I River replaced my mp3 player. It just arrived today. Maybe it helped that I mentioned that I am shopping for a hard drive based player. |
