NFL: Cowboys colors banned in training camp hometown
Associated Press
July 30, 2004 COWBOYS0731
OXNARD, Calif. -- The Dallas Cowboys' trademark blue star could lead to a fine, imprisonment, or both at the home of the team's training camp.
The Cowboys start working out Saturday in Oxnard, Calif., where the logo was adopted years ago by the city's largest and most violent street gang.
Last month, authorities obtained an injunction preventing the gang from wearing its trademark clothing in the city as a way to control the violence -- and it's working. Oxnard's police chief said the gang has laid low since the injunction was granted.
Police said the Cowboys and their fans have nothing to worry about -- even if they do wear the blue star. They said gang members are familiar to police, so casual fans will be fine. |

| Yup I'm a Cowboy fan. This shouldn't be any problem. Hell half of the Cowboys probably came from gangs! :D |

We made the playoffs last year! As far as the QB goes...who knows. More than likely Quincy. Vinnie will be there to step in when Quincy gets hurt or has a bad day.
If we could schedule the Redskins every game we would have an awesome record! |

MDTex - with Parcells - you never know............however Quincy's first 3 yr stats were better than Vinnie's (which surprised me!) |

| I've worked in Oxnard. I hate to say it, but it is a hole. There are some nicer areas being developed there, but, generally speaking, it is a hole. It sucks. There are gang-bangers all over the place along Oxnard Blvd and roads that intersect, e.g., Gonzalez. Oxnard has a nice climate, although a bit cloudy. I am sure those from Dallas aren't complaining. Didn't they used to train in Thousand Oaks just down the 101? Better community, but not much of a marine climate. Shouldn't training camp be rougher than 69 degree weather? ;) |

For years they trained in Thousand Oaks and then Jerry decided to look around for a better deal. He has bounced around to several places in the last 10 years.
For heat and humidity they used to train in San Antonio. Their practice facility in Irving was not covered until a year ago. They had to put up with the heat, humidity, rain or whatever. During bad weather they would go to a local high school and use the high school's indoor field. That was funny that an NFL team had to go to a high school to practice. (At least the high school mascot was the Cowboys!) I think that embarassed Jerry so he finally covered the practice facility. |

| Yup. Big news across the Dallas airwaves. Oh well, that's why you have a backup. Let's see how the "old man" does! |

Packers have been winning NFL championships since the 30's; won 4 in the 60's - how can anyone have not heard of Packer fans before the 90's
