2001 mdx touring. Need help fast! In a moment of insanity I ejected a cd from the factory in-dash 6 disc changer and failed to give it time to do it's thing before I loaded another disc. Now all I get is an error code 1 message. The display shows that there are 6 discs in the thing when there are only 5.I have disconnected the battery and put the code back into it in hopes that it would reset --- no such luck! The dealership says they can take it out and send it back to the factory with a measley $250.00 deposit and it would take over 30 days to get it back. Then I'd have to pay all of those labor charges. Give a girl a break ,PLEASE!! Can anyone offer any help other than trashing the system ,i can't afford to spend alot of money(but then who can).Thanks.

Did you try to hold down the eject button to eject all the disks and start over and reload?

Oh but yes! I tried holding down the reset button from the clock and the trip meter while pushing the eject button and the load button. You can here and see the little rollers just inside the slot moving but it only gives the same error code and then goes back to playing the radio. Is there some kind of in line fuse in the wiring that I might be able to check?I have even looked for the small little reset button that some stereos have on the face plate but can't find anything.

I had a similar problem with my changer last week, when trying to eject a CD. The CD would not eject after pressing the eject button.
I could see a little of the CD from the slot. So I took another disk and gave it a slight push. It went back into place, tried it again, and I was able to eject it. If you can see a disk in the slot, you might be able to do as I did.

I had a Chrysler that had a misaligned cd tray. The cd would start to eject and hit above the cd slot. What I had to do was insert a cd into the upper part of the slot and force the cd down a bit in order for it to pop out.
