| Anyone installed a 2 way alarm/ remote start system like the Viper Responder or the DEI Valet in their X ? I'm looking into the DEI Valet alarm and remote start, I have to give up my Valet key for the chip and the stock keyless entry that will be replaced with the DEI Valet unit. Just curious to see if any issues. |

| Don't know about specific issues with the MDX, but we have had a few issues with both the transmitters and brains going bad within a month or two on the Python 881xp, same as the Viper unit. |

I have a compustar remote starter unit with pageback - it has a little exhaust icon that shows it started. I've been able to start it within shopping malls at a distance of about 1/2 mile. It was a trade for some work I did so it's just the starter without an alarm, rear defroster, or trunk release. I like the fact that all the OEM keyfob stuff works the same unless I lock the car with the starter remote with the car running. Haven't used it in about 5 months though.
Somewhere in the manual I remember reading not to connect a remote starter to the MDX, probably because of the chip. |

My autopage has worked pretty well, yeah there is a key imbedded because of the chip thing.
I've had problems with the remotes going bad though, and they are expensive to replace. |

| We have had decent luck with the Autopage units, but like neide said the remotes don't hold up |
