I recently purchased an iPod. What a cool device - but that's for another discussion.
When I run the iPod in my MDX it sometimes turns on the SRS light. The light then will not turn off. I took it to the dealer and they blamed it on all the electronics in my car. Well, I do have a cradle for my cell phone, a speaker/mic behind my headrest, a dvd player in the back for the kids (aftermarket, not installed - mine is an '01) and my iPod which originally ran through the tape adapter, but now is connected by FM modulator.
They pulled the code and found it was the OPDS causing this. They said that sometimes electronics cause interference. I couldn't believe this, but it appears to be true. I did a search here and found This Thread (curious that TheRobSJ has been banned from this forum too - he got bounced off another one I know of). Does anyone have any experience with where I can place my iPod and not have it cause this interference? It is annoying to have to take it to the dealer each time it happens and have the light reset.
The iPod rules on long trips. I don't want to give it up, so I really need to find a solution.
