Hello All!
So, the Honda/Acura tranny recall seems getting far away?
I kind noticed that the "rate" of tranny problem incidents seems significantly going down thesedays.
Does it imply the new design tranny 03/04 MDX is retaining Honda/Acura's reputation?
Does it also imply that the Oil Jet Kit installed on 01/02 MDX seems permanetly sealing the problem from reoccuring?
Frankly, the recent Honda/Acura 01/02 MDX tranny recall kind of has been holding me from purchasing MDX immediately. Main concern is Can I be confident buying 04 right now?
Yes! I was told that the affected ones are 01 and 02 MDX, but that does NOT suffciently mean 03 and 04 MDX is far way from the problem, Any specific/concrete infor or source of info proving 03 and 04 MDX is safe from tranny problem? Or.....Am I asking too much?
Any advice please...

The recall is for a relatively rare, specific problem.
Transmission problems continue for other reasons.
Perhaps as more defective transmissions are replaced we will see a drop in failure rates.
Time will tell. |
