I was wondering if anyone has noticed that their seat heaters on the driver's side seem to turn on by themselves?

Now I may have a naturally warm butt however I can swear that the seat heaters are on sometimes. The rocker switch is not touched!

How can I found out if this is my imagination or not?

I haven't had it happen, but it could be due to some kind of miswiring, or a stuck contact in the switch on the console. The circuit is such that the seat heater relay comes on whenever the ignition switch is turned on, but neither seat heater gets any current unless the heater switch on the console is turned on. There are two indicator lamps to show Hi or Lo position (controlled by one switch contact set). The two other contact sets control Hi or Lo power to the heaters. If one of those contact sets were shorted, the heater would come on every time the ignition switch is on.

There is one 4-wire and one 2-wire gray connector under the seat cushion; the 4-wire is for the seat bottom, and the 2-wire is for the seat back. If you unplug both of them, the heaters should never heat under any circumstances. If you unplug both and still feel heat, then it's just a warm butt!:2:
