Be very careful to apply the sticker on an extremely clean surface (I know EVERYONE keeps their MDX spotless! Right?). I noticed after applying the sticker, there were some dust particles I missed and they are very noticable. Also, when pressing the sticker on, be careful not to get carried away with what you use. There is a position strip on top of the vinyl sticker that peels the sticker off the paper backing. You then place this strip with the sticker onto the surface. Then rub the lettering down with a smooth blunt object, NOT a key like I first tried, because I ripped the sticker. Then peel away and admire your work.

From an earlier post you mentioned the stickers are 7 1/2 X 1 inch. From your pics they look taller. Is it one inch per line? so in reality it is 2 inches high, or is it just an optical illusion.
For all, where's they best location? side window(s) or tailgate??
Curious as to prefrences.
Great job, I'll get my order in once I see one on an MD, as I'm torn between gold and white. Or is it yellow and white? At this price I just might get two of each anyway!

First batch being mailed Tuesday.
As of Sunday night, there are only about 10 silver left and 40 gold.
Redwing - Stickers are still 7 1/2" wide x 1" from top of acuramdx.org to bottom of "member" rectangle.
The license plate frame in the picture above was made with the sticker and a blank frame. Black would probably look better. Here is a site for Acura license plate frames that look nice. | Just placed my order for a gold sticker. I think that'll look nice with the mesa beige. I originally wanted to get 3 stickers, on for the rear and one for each side, but my better half quickly vetoed that idea when I mentioned it. |

Thought I'd give the ol MDX a treat by taking it to a hand wash. They did a great job and when I had the washer guy give the mirrors a once over with the air hose, a pint of water gushed out the passenger side mirror housing! We both had a good laugh. No tears so far.
But afterwards, I did noticed my new sticker was slightly peeling from a few locations. He must have wiped the sticker pretty hard with the red window towel he used because there was red lint around the edges of the sticker. And the sticker was lifted in the small turns of the "Member" lettering cut outs. (I should have taken pictures but had no digital camera with me.) Pressed them back and looks fine.
SO...just be careful when wiping the sticker.:) |

I did mine lower left on the rear glass. Right side ended up looked "stacked up" w/the MDX chrome logo underneath it, but yours might be OK there since it's balanced by your USCF sticker on the left. I tried for the middle, but thought the wiper would be in the way; you'd have to mount above the wiper so it isn't blocked from view, and I think the blade will hit it, ultimately rubbing it off.
Other alternative is on the rear side windows; 7plus had an example of that and I thought it looked good, too.

I got my stickers (I got two, cause I couldn't decide on a color) yesterday as well. One thing I noticed is that in some of the posted pictures the sticker just says 'acuramdx.org'. Now my sticker says 'www.acuramdx.org'. I'm just curious, are there different stickers out there, or did owners decide the sticker was too long and cut off the 'www'?

| I botched my sticker installation because I tried to put it on the inside of the back windshield instead of the outside. Had to throw it out but my suggestion is that the next batch be made to put on the inside. That way it is not at risk for coming off in the car wash etc. The sticker does fit nicely between the defroster wires so it is possible. |

unfortunately, the glass and tint are too thick for an inside decal. I tried, you could hardly see it. So, at this point, external is out of the question. |

The stickers are great - thanks to everyone who made them happen.
I got one of each but I used the gold one. I put it right on the Mesabeige MDX under the left corner of the back window. I think it looks great. It is subtle and you don't see it until you're close.

The sticker placement required washing the entire MDX...of course. Then placed it, outside of lower left side of rear window. I trimmed the 'WWW' and the 'Member' section and it reads 'acuramdx.org' in gold.
I guess I'll have to get a little sign that says "DMor" to hold up if I ever see anyone. :) |

Got the real thing in the mail today. They look classy. I wicsh our vehicle would be delivered as quickly! Well I can look at the stickers and the pwood pieces till we get the beast!

Got my sticker in the mail today. I washed and waxed it on Friday, dusted it off this morning, got the mail in the afternoon and stuck my sticker on soon after. The only thing I'm concerned about is when I wash the MDX next time will the sticker stick on? I had rain-x on the back window took rubbing alcohol to get it off and scubbed real hard before putting the sticker on. Now I'm just wondering is it going to stay on. I figured if I baked it in the sun maybe. Anyone else have suggestions or concerns?

I got the silver sticker and LOOKS GOOD. I'm proud to have that sticker on the back of my MDX. You people are a lot of fun to (what would you call it) talk to, write to, listen to, whatever. Now I just hope anyone that is a member of this org. will pull me over so we can meet in person.

Fantastic job by everyone involved, thanks for all your efforts. The silver sticker matches my SS perfectly. Now I hope one of you wave or stop me. | Trimmed mine to "acuramdx.org", installed it on the license plate frame and it looks great. Only problem is it looks like "acuramdx.orq" because the bottom of the g folded over. Honk if you see us! |

| I think the only way to keep these stickers from peeling is to place a clear sticker OVER the original sticker. Otherwise...too many edges to withstand sun, wind, rain, etc. I love the sticker and mine is fine, so far, but I can see the peel potential. Any ideas?? |

I haven't put on ours on yet- waiting for vehicle. However, I have some of these types of "stickers" on my van's back window. I have a Redwing logo for 5 years and no peel- a bit faded though. Also a soccer ball and team name ( 2 yrs) no peel. I wonder if there is different quality in the "glue." From what I recall, they all looked the same (RW, Ball, and MDX stickers)

I spent the last 5 days in Southern California (primarily in the Orange County area) and really hoped to see some stickers. Never saw a single sticker and saw a very limited number of MDXs.

If the MDX's I've seen are any indication, we'll be able to recognize fellow forum members by their accessories. Maybe we should have stickers that say "Tim was Here!" Because many of us who belong to this forum are dripping in add-ons. Many MDX's I see out there are NAKED. No offense to those who prefer that skin to skin look, but, you've got to admit, it's tough to resist those monthly specials!! :D
