My wife lost her keys so took mine. Two days later her's turned up but mine are nowhere to be found. Any idea what a new key and remote costs? Any idea what a dealer would charge to program the key and remote if I didn't buy it there?

I just went through the same thing as I bought a used X and only had 1 key and remote. I bought the remote off E-bay. ~$24. You can program it yourself and some sellers will send them along. Basically you turn the key off and on four times while hitting a button on the remote.
Make sure the remote you get has the same FCC code as the one you have.
I bought the key from Streetkeys. $25 They sell aftermarket and OEM. They have a network of locksmiths that will cut and program them. Programming $30.

| I purchased two new keys at the cost of $18.00 each. They have to be made by the dealer. I priced a new keyless, it would have been 85.00. |
