04 MDX with NAVI/touring/6-disc cd and aftermarket XM and DVD player(installed by dealer).
The DVD is "Movies 2 go" My question is this. The unit appears to be rather cheap. Don't get me wrong it functions well. But it misses some of the extras that nicer untis have. Namely remembering where we last viewed on the disc. Also, it evidently only has one power source, obviously wired into the ignition. As you can imagine, stopping for gas on long trips with the kids can be problematic. I am wondering if anyone familiar with this or a simialr set-up might be able to help me easily change the current wiring to one that is a constant power source so that we can run the dvd as long as the key is in the ignition, or even with the car off.
Ideally, I would love tobe able to make this change at/or near the fuse box, rather than violating the headliner and roof pillars?
Am I crazy to believe I can do this?
Thanks so much

If it helps, this is an audiovox unit. Movies2go is evidently a sub of their company. looking through the very sparse manual and gleened that info.
thanks again in advance.
