| Somebody at work made a statement when they saw my new X that I was too young to be driving such a vehicle...and they weren't joking (probably jealous). I am curious to see what age group is most likely to own an MDX. |

They were probably saying "You look too young to be able to afford a luxury vehicle." |

Do you want the age at the time of purchase, or our current age.
Obviously, alot has happened/changed in the 2.5+ years that I've owned my MDX . . . :4: :p  |

| I skewed the poll! My age is actually 64, not the 50-59 age group that I voted as. |

Your honesty is appreciated. But then you are a man and would not lie about such things. :D |

For some reason I always though you were older then me and I was the youngest on the board at 24. MDX is my first ride not counting the hand down Mercury Villager, then Chrysler Sebring from my mom. |

| In my mind I am much younger than 64, but my body and wife both tell me that 64 is about right. So I voted with my mind in the 50-59 age group. |

Hehe... used cars, some of 'em.
Our family tends to pass cars around, a few of them had more than one owner in the Smith family during their lifetimes (and still do!).
For example: the 97 850 was my old man's new, I got it from him for a time when I was without, now my sister has it. Great car.
I know, it's weird. ;)
My best experiences have been the 2000 S70 and the MDX.
Not lying about my age, though!
I WISH I'd had them all new... whoa... that would have been nice...
Although the worst I had was a 99 S70, my first NEW car, ironically enough. Lemon from start to finish. Had it 13 months, which is short even for me!
It's a sickness, really. ;) |

I'll be joining that age group next year! I don't see too many "old" people driving MDXs around my area. |

Glad I found this thread. I see there's quite a few members here in my age group. A lot of my friends were telling me to wait and get the '05 TL when I got the '04 MDX. But I had an '02 CRV which got me hooked on the high view of a SUV.
BTW, I was 24 when I got it, 25 now. |

"When did I (ahem) mature???"
When your sig include 67 Sunbeam, that is when you matured. :-)
I'm 26, had my X for almost a year. I've always driven large SUVs and trucks. Learned to drive on 1990 Chevy Suburban and 1992 Ford Bronco. I choose the X over a Toyota 4Runner, Honda Pilot, Chevy Trailblazer and Lexus RX 330. The X drove the best, got the best gas mileage, best ride and had 4 wheel drive for the best price.
I get hassled because its an odyssey with big tires and a better body, but hey, I love it.
Age - Car - reason for getting rid of
16 --- 85 Chevy Astro Van(mom's old car) - rear seal blew
17-21 --95 Chevy S-10 - had to give to fam for little bro
21-22 --87 Chevy Astro Van (CAT FEVER!!!!) - got a real job and a real car
22-24 -- 99 Chevy Tahoe - Sold when gas hit $1.50 in 2002
24-26 -- 02 Frontier Crew Cab LongBed - Tired of pickup wanted an SUV
26-now - 04 Acura MDX - I'm not allowed to buy another car for at least 7 years says the CFO of the family. |

I was 36 when I bought mine but I've since bumped up into the 40-49 bracket. :(
I'll still have the MDX when I'm in my late 40's. Sheesh. Kinda makes me feel old when I think of it that way. Actually, my wife gets the X next Feb when it's paid off and then we'll replace her '97 CR-V with a commuter car for me. I'm considering a Hybrid Civic or Prius. For the price of gas and cost of ownership it doesn't make sense for me to buy another near-luxury vehicle for almost exclusively commuting to work. |

| I got an Acura Legend from my in-laws back in 1996 when I got married. In 98, they got me a Lexus RX300 as a 'reward' for having my son, their first grandchild. I requested a 02' MDX when I had my daughter for the extra space (since they asked me). Now, I 'demanded' my husband to get me the 07' MDX as our 10th anniversary present. Not too bad for 10 years of marriage.:D |

A carolla is a better buy then a hybrid civic...costs 10 thousand less and still gives 35+ mpg. |
