Here is a heads up about the NAVI system.
My under the seat NAVI had to be replaced when the MDX was about 4 months old because it would make a screeching noise when it would start up. Turned out it was a bad DVD drive. The passenger seat has to be removed to install a new unit. The new one works fine.
Recently I disconnected my battery to work on my HID headlights and when I reconnected the battery the NAVI unit (and radio) asked for my user code.
I entered the code I was given originally and it did not work. When I brought it back to the dealer, the Service Dept had forgotten to write done the code or the serial # of the new NAVI unit.
The Service Dept then had to remove the passenger seat again to get the serial # and call Acura to get the correct code. In defense of the Service Dept, the NAVI was a new system at that time.
Heads up to always be sure you have the correct code for your unit written down somewhere. |
