This morning while warming up the truck, I heard someone revving it...up and down. I got out on the driveway and looked, but no one's around.
I got inside the truck and looked at the tach...it was revving up and down from 1k > 2k. It stopped doing it as soon as I put it in gear...but now the truck is acting funny. As soon as I let go of the gas it jerks to slow down...and from a stop it surges forward as soon as you lift your foot of the brakes.
When I got to the train station, after I parked the engine+VTM lights came on.
Has anyone else experience something like this?
Oh yeah the truck is an '02 with a little over 60k on it. |

| Dirty or broken EGR valves cause problems like this. |

| My wife took the truck to the dealer today and they told her that it's the idle air control valve...but I'm going to check the EGR too just in case. |

| When I got the Check Engine and VTM-4 lights, the service guy said it would be the EGR valve or the Idle Air Control. In my case, it was the EGR. If the IAC fixes it, don't worry about it. |
