First of all, great forum everyone. I have been following the threads as I was making my decision to get the 2005 MDX. Very informative.
I ordered a Sagebrush with Navi & RES on Nov 10th and I still don't have it! :( What kind of delivery times have people been seeing for their Xs?

I don't have an answer to your question, but I just wanted to let you know that I am laughing so hard my stomach hurts from your autosignature!:7: |

I ordered my '04 MDX in Mar'04, as a factory build, and it was delivered about 6 weeks later. The dealership was able to tell me the build date, ship date, and arrival date as the order progressed.
My rep at Courtesy Acura in Denver was Jeff Thornton, and he sent me emails at every benchmark. A perfect buying experience!
The dealership should be able to update you on the order progress at every turn, whether a factory order or a supply from regional inventory. |

Mine is being factory built as well but all dates are being given as guess spanning 4 to 5 days. Maybe that's how the system works but boy here's one area where logistical software is needed badly!
I know that when my friend ordered a Mini Cooper, she could even see the build progress on her car through a webcam. Now that's technology! |

anjan,
The dealer should be able to tell you the build date and average transit time from the factory. They do have access to this information. |

All i got on Monday was that the car could come in between 23rd and 28th with the disclaimer that it could be Dec 1st. By pressing I found out that the car has been built and is in transit.
Considering that the factory where its being built in Ontario is only 1.5 hours from where I live, it seems to be darned slow transport. My biggest problem is it being around Thanksgiving and its screwing up my plans.
Compound that with the fact that my friend (we bought it at the same time) was called last week to be told that his vehicle is not due till another 4 days. And then they call back in 35 minutes and tell him that its in!! I would be fine if they were positive about a given date and stick to it :) |

| Anjan, mine took est. delivery date + 20 days. I've heard the dealers typically short the est date by 20 (to keep you from buying a more accessible car?). I've also heard it depends a great deal on weather. You're almost there!! Just be glad you didn't order in the heart of winter. Enjoy your new MDX. :D |

By ordering it from the factory it could take up to 2 months.
Your ordering a popular combination; the dealer could do a computer search for you and trade with another dealer. It benefits them to do this because they get paid before the end of this month.
What might have happened is that they had the exact model you want earmarked for their dealership already. So they're just waiting for it now- it may have a December delivery date.

| I'm picking up the car in a couple of hours. So, with a factory order it took 20 days which, considering other timelines listed here, is not bad. |

John,
There are lots of info on this thread and I chose to use the Excel spreadsheet because it was very handy. :)
Congrats and good luck!

Its a testament to the vehicle's attraction factor that I'm getting back to this forum for the first time since I picked it up :p
I didn't have a checklist but the salesman was pretty comprehensive. In fact, I had to cut it short because I was picking it up over my lunch hour. Needless to say, I've been very impressed so far with the technology in the car. My 2 year old daughter has been equally impressed because last night we could not get her out of the car. She wanted to watch her cartoons only on the RES! :D |
