After watching Jeopardy last night, I just found it quite unbelievable that Ken Jennings lost on such an easy question. As soon as they posted the question, I already knew the answer.

Perhaps he was just tired of winning. . .

What was the question? I missed it.

Something like, "This company has over 70,000 seasonal white collar employees . . . "

Category was Business and Industry

Remember your answer must be in the form of a question.

What is H+R Block? was the answer(question). Something about only working 4 months out of the year...

I always get confused with answers/questions on Jeopardy. Doesn't Alex give everyone the answer and you have to come up with the question? But the question is the answer??

I for one loved it! Know it all smarty pants Ken Jennings! :2:

How in the heck can one person know so much in one lifetime?

I bet this woman who won won't last but a few days. Jennings lost because he had a bad day. She did not win because she knows more than him. He has an incredible encyclopedic knowledge of almost everything. This is a former actress/now realtor. She did not strike me as extremely knowledgeable from last nights show.

What's interesting is that the only record he didn't hold for any type of game show was the number of appearances in a row, which he tied last night at 75. I thought that his answers on Monday and Tuesday night were not as sharp and crisp as they had been previously. Maybe the grind just got to him.

Jennings claimed he never imagined his taxes being done by anyone else, so H&R was not something even in 'his world'.

But his answer of FedEx seems far out for him. Even department store Santa Claus's would have been a better WAG. (whilte 'furry' collars?)

She's seems quite bright to me compared to the average person on the street. But not J's caliber.

Maybe it's my field of work, but the question alone would never let one think of Fedex. Fedex would be characterized as blue collar, not white collar.

Then seasonal. . . it just seemed too easy a question to miss.

Good question to miss, he gets lifetime tax returns done!

I bet he'll get someone to do his taxes with his new 2.5 mil... I would!

H&R Block offered free lifetime financial services so he would never forget their name again.

If he really wants to do some serious investing he would be wiser to get a reputable tax attorney, I would think. Maybe he can get them to take care of his 'Aunt Bea', etc.

It was rumored that Jennings wanted to quit at the end of last season but the folks at Sony reminded him of the contract requirements (you can't quit). Jennings being the high standing person that he is kept on playing.

It appeared to me that he was really sick of the game the last 10 - 15 episodes.

Jennings appeared to me as a person of high values. I doubt he would purposely throw a game.

I think he was just tired of the game and all the attention. That probably played a factor in his loss.

He lost twice on Double Jeopardys at about $5,000 each. Had he not lost those he would have been more then two times ahead and the Final Jeopardy would not have mattered.

Actually his wife was in Toronto, and he came to visit her and took in a baseball game. The shows are taped in Los Angles. I prorbaly had jet lag and was very tired.

His answer just seemed so bogus...FedEx....with his brain I am sure he could have had a better answer than that. That sounds like the response of someone who only survived one show.
