How many miles were on your MDX when picked up from dealer. Was looking this past weekend and the car had 47 miles, is that normal?

It could indicate they are asking too much for the vehicle ! Its been test driven too much ! why hasn't it sold ?????????????????????????????????????????????????

Some will have more and some will have less. It all depends upon the dealers procedures for a demonstration ride. Some dealers will reserve a limited number of vehicles for demonstration and some will use whatever is handy. Some will limit how far you can take a car and some say see you later.

47 miles is certainly within reason. I would have no concerns.

My X had 9 miles when I got it. IMO, if that X with 47 miles has the color combo and features I really want and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary I would take it.

Fabvsix – I’m not sure what the dealer quoting others for this vehicle but I think I am getting a good price

My X only had 14 miles on it when I got it. The dealer also had one with around 50 miles on it but it already lost its "new car smell" and had a lot of hand smudges in the interior. If you dont see anything wrong with it and it feels and looks absolutely brand new I think you are safe. You can always ask why there are so many miles on it... most Acura dealers have testers, so it doesnt hurt to ask.

I don't think under 50 miles is a big deal. It may have been out for a few rides, or a saleperson's ride home, etc.

As said, if the condition is nothing less than new, and it has all the features and the color you want, grab it!
You may also want to check the mileage on other new vehicles at the same dealership. It may have something to do with the transportation/pickup process for new vehicles.

Also double check the sticker on the window. Look for the original dealer's address somewhere at the bottom of this paper.

Sometimes various dealers in town exchange vehicles with each other when a customer wants something that they don't have in stock. But the other dealer has one - so they'll drive one vehicle over to exchange - and bring the one matching the customer's request back. Now both vehicles will have more miles (if they didn't flatbed it).

About 10 miles. Dealer said it had 8 miles when it came in, they drove it to a gas station and filled up the tank.

I have one of the infamous seat belt nicks on the side pillar. Think that happened when the dealer took it to the gas station.

Mine had 14, they had to test it out before they gave it over to me.

12 miles on mine. They need to drive the vehicle from/to the train or truck from/to a holding area, then from/to truck to the dealer. Yours might've taken for a couple of test drives- you shouldn't worry about that.
