It seems to me that a lot of the X owners who post pictures or speak of a collision have the darker exterior colors. If you were involved in a collision, what color is/was your X? Backing in to garage doors, trees, fire hydrants etc. do not count. Only those who have been hit by someone or hit someone should reply. What got me thinking about this was this article.

I had to use generic names for some colors as the poll is limited on options.

It'll be interesting to see the results of this.....personally I doubt the color of the vehicle makes much of a difference. I can see it now, disclaimers when you order a certain color, and/or insurance rates being dictated by the color of a vehicle. :2:

Well, ever since I bought my X, I started noticing them on the road. And it seems to me that every second X I see is black! Now, I know it just an impression, some of them may be a dirty Sagebrush or dark blue. It’s winter after all and all cars look darker. But it seems like people buy a lot more X in dark colors. For example I only saw four or five white ones in last months. And I saw at least a dozen dark grays and I can’t count how many blacks… Is it me, or is it true?

Firstly,
The study failed to take into account drivers' driving style and characteristics.

It's not hard to realize that people who choose YELLOW (other than taxi driver),
will have higher tendency to drive more aggresively.

There has to be some correlation between the colour and driving style.

Secondly, the study failed to look into
how the vehicles in the study was involved in the accidents.

The color of your car would be responsible if the accident was caused by the other cars failing to see you.
However, if you are at fault for the accident (say, you hit the car in the front or if you run the red light), then the color of you car has less effect for the outcome.

Anyway, here in Vancouver, BC. The most popular color for MDX is Silver and Black.
