Yesterday we bought our first SUV -- Acura MDX with Nav and RES, silver color with ebony interior.
My wife and I have been debating about MDX and RX330 for almost 2 months, she just loved the way RX330 looked as well as power tailgate and power adujstable steering wheel. However, after going on a test drive and learning all the voice commands that she can use she finally admitted that MDX is "more vehicle" for the money :D .
Here is our deal:
Price: $40,550
Extra crap (dealership puts extra protective stuff on ALL of their vehicles -- 1/4" rubber around doors' edges and flares): $299
Tax+Registration+Fees: $3,745
-----------------------------------------
Final price: $44,594
We also got 2.9% for 60 months.
I believe for Northern CA this is a pretty good deal. |

The 'girls' always like the "girlie' RX 330 better. It's cuter.
You'll be glad the he-man MDX won out- the handling and carrying capacity is much better. And it's less cute- more like a baby rhino. |

Thank you, everybody for your welcome -- it's an awesome vehicle, we've been traveling around the area yesterday showing the car to relatives -- everybody is amazed at the technologies inside it :D .
Now it's time to get some accessories, in particular all-weather floor mats and cargo cover. Can somebody explain why are WeatherTechs better than Acura's all-season mats, it seems that a lot of people went with WTs?
pisay87, we got it from Acura of Concord. |

People say that the Weather Techs hold more water when the snow melts from people's boots. The Acura mats fit perfectly and have mounting clips however, and every after market mat will have to be cut to fit properly. I have the Acura mats and feel they hold an adequate amount of water. Dude, you live in Northern CA, you won't have to worry about melting snow.
