How are we supposed to have fun driving in wintry conditions if the darn vehicle drives itself? :-)
Here in NC, we had our first taste of wintry weather this year. It's certainly the first time I've had my MDx in the slippery stuff.
Road half ice and half dry pavement? Jump on the gas and it goes straight. Boring
Road a mixture of ice and snow? Jump on the gas and it goes straight. Boring.
Start fishtailing? The thing straightens out. Boring.
I've owned a variety of RWD, FWD, 4WD, and AWD vehicles and I have found the MDX to be the safest and most boring in dangerous conditions. I want a refund. ;) |

Friends keep asking me about the new SUV and I tell them that the good thing is that I don't feel anything. And the bad thing is that I don't feel anything!
I drove in a medium snowstorm this weekend with accidents along the freeway and my MDX was surefooted and silent! All we could hear was my daughter humming to her DVD in the back :2: |

| Well, I was able to get it out of shape on all ice pretty easily, but there's not much at all that can help ANY vehicle on ice. |

I have a Kawasaki Mule 4x4, which is like a golf-cart on steroids, or an old-persons-ATV.
I use the MDX to rescue it when I get it stuck in my backyard snow! |

Funny post!
NCHeel, I suggest you send a formal request for a refund to Acura based on your "complaints". :D :D :D |

| ... and ask for little extra for your pain and suffering too! :2: |

| I would probably choose "numbness" instead of "pain". Say that I cannot feel anything anymore. My life is bereft of exciting twists and turns :) |

I too have had the 1st snowstorm with my X last thursday. I was at a call on a sidestreet with about a foot of snow, and I just plowed through, with no problems. It is very surefooted. In particular, the VSA cuts the gas in and out to get the appropriate traction. Very nice. It's a beauty. |

What little experience I've had in the snow was impressive to say the least. But in pouring rain on slick streets it also shows it's prowess to be sure. Got to be one of the nicest driving SUVs around.
And rivals many smaller, nimbler cars too. After more than 2 years, it still hard to imagine a better utility package. |

Ditto, after almost 3 1/2 years. |

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!
I am in NJ and just got an '05 MDX w/ Navi 2 days ago. Can't wait for the white stuff to come down now after reading all the raves about how well the MDX handles in bad weather.
My previous AWD experience is a '98 Honda CR-V and I've always thought the CR-V did a great job. And the CR-V is not nearly as sophisticated as the MDX so I am really anxious to see how much better the MDX will be. |
