I'm new to the site, and I'm new to MDXs......so I wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm not to Acura - I've got an '02 anthrocite TL.

I just put my down payment on my '05 MDX touring w/ navi and dvd. It's aspen white pearl. I can't wait to get it.......I love this truck (wife and I wanted it since '02). :D We'll be picking it up in the next 2 weeks.....I already bought a K&N OEM replacement intake. :2:

The only option we added was the body side molding......I plan on buying the running boards and rear spoiler wind-deflector and putting them on myself - you guys will be helping me w/ the install. ;)

Well, that's all for now. I look forward to speaking w/ you guys/gals soon.

Are there any? I would think there would be some market for it - intakes, exhausts, suspension, etc......but I don't see a forum for it. I like to modify my cars......no matter what it is (it's a sickness I have). :2:

That's our kind of poster- you got the upgraded air filter before you got the car!

Unfortunatly there is NO peformance mods, other than home grown like Manus has done. Which I am sad there isn't we have a large community and sometime I want to send a large email to companies as to why there are for pilots, cr-vs but little to none for the MDX.

When you buy part give Tim @ www.hondacuraworld.com a call great guy and the install instructions are online. You can d/l now and look them over.

Also welcome to the family.

I sent an email to Comptech a couple of months ago. All I want is an exhaust set. Otherwise maybe will get a shop to cut/paste one up but it wouldn't have those nice bends and be without extra joints/welds. Had HKS and Stillen stuff before on other vehicles and now all I have is a Honda factory exhaust!! Probably doesn't even say Acura on it! Arrgh!! But it's quiet though.

Maybe we can all go do a group buy and they'll move faster!! Ok, King Warzau of the NBP Club, would you like to collect names and email them our wish list?

Actually I was thinking of making a Generic email ( or if someone who has better grammar) with all those who are interested in signing to send off to aftermaket companies saying there is a large community interested in modifying their MDXs. Perhaps this would help get them to start some sort of line for MDX.

Thanks for the warm welcome....glad to be part of another group of auto enthusiasts.

I'm really surprised that after 4 years of the MDX being out that some aftermarket company hasn't jumped on the MDX and started producing intakes/exhausts/suspensions.

Well, I'm down for signing/being part of any letter to these potential companies that might step up and help us out so we can start putting 300+hp MDXs on the road. :claphead:

I've got friends with 5L Mustangs that can bask in the offerings of hundreds of vendors, others with 350 Chevies in everything from pickups & econoboxes to Vettes that have similar limitless options.

Meanwhile my performance car is an 87 Grand National, there are maybe 4 or 5 companies that but any serious efforts into them.

The reality is that certain parts are EASY to make, in fact all my co-workers who are into performance trucks are spending huge money on turbo diesels because the tuning is super easy -- just crank up the boast and add more fuel! There must twenty companies making chips and performance computer intefaces for turbo diesels.

I doubt that a letter will do much. If you are serious about getting more parts you need to make a serious showing at performance/modifed events. Members like Joe Lau, preferably in Southern California!

The parts makers won't shift resources from the known money makers until they see LOTS of people spending LOTS of money...
