Do any of you side step owners have any insight into whether I should go with the black or satin chrome side steps on my NBP '05 X? Maybe pros and cons to either of them?
Also, do you find it harder to get in and out with the side step protruding? Do you get your pant legs dirty?
I'd appreciate any input. Thanks! |

With a NBP MDX, go with chrome or satin side steps. Entry and exit with the side steps is pretty easy. To tell you the truth, I never use them when getting in or out of my MDX. I use the side steps to have something to stand on when cleaning the roof of my ride.:4: |

| Hey fellow KONO, chrome side steps is the ONLY way to go, IMO. It matches perfectly with the door handles and it also looks more contemporary than the running boards. If you decide to get chrome wheels in the future, it will look even sweeter. :) |

Go chrome unclemilt, it compliments the black nicely along with the chrome handles.
I agree with pisay, once you upgrade the rims it will look even sweeter. I plan on getting my rims polished in the spring.

| OK, it's clear that chrome is the favorite of this crowd. Now, since I don't plan to ever change the wheels (my wife hates spending $ on such things), do we all agree that the satin chrome is the best match? |

We are saying satin we are saying chrome! There is a difference. It is a tough choice since the standard wheels are a more satin but the door handles are chrome. I just like the look of chrome! :cool: |

I have the chrome side steps bcause I too like the look of chrome and the compliment the door handles nicely. Currently I'm rechearching a place to have my "satin" appearing wheels polished.

| I went with black on my '05 SBP. They're nice and discreet. I don't think side steps ought to draw attention to themselves......they are, after all, only side steps. Then again, I'm the kind of guy that thinks 19 or 20 inch, blinged-out chrome wheels look ridiculous on the 'X. No offense anyone! |

I trying to decide also, and I'm not sure I like the Chrome either. Anyone other then Boston like the black? Just trying to get some other opinions.
Also, what about the Running Boards as opposed to the Side Steps? What are the Pros and Cons?

I think black side steps are pretty sporty on and MDX, especially a black MDX. I've actually tossed around the idea of changing my chrome ones for the blacks. Hmmm.... Anyone interested in buying chrome Manik side steps? |
