For everybody who does not have the NAV, does the blue display (AC/fan/Compass,etc) intensity match the display intensity of your temperature display and radio display. Although the brightness is adjustable on the big screen, it only goes from too bright or too dim compared to the temp and radio. It really drives me insane that they do not match. Is this the same on everybody elses?? Thanks!

Yep. There's only a few settings for the "slider" which isn't really a slider at all. As you said, there's only bright and dim. There doesn't seem to be a rheostat as in a typical dimmer. Usually it matches the radio display if I have the dash at max. and the screen lower. I don't think it's ever matched the temp. display at the same time.

It drove me nuts for the longest time, but I've kind of gotten used to it. It is kind of nice to be able to turn it off independently out in the country at night (or when I'm running late so I can't see the time and stress out more!).

You think I'm kidding... ;)

I especially hate the nav display when you want to turn the lights on, when the auto on sensor is not turning them on, say when it's overcast and raining, and it is too dark( the nav screen) because you are turning on the lights manually.

I was wondering what was going on. this is the first winter season I have had my MDX and I noticed that the screen was really dim when I first got in the car.

Also it took me a year to figure out that I could adjust the brightness of the rearview camera. I touched the screen by accident backing out one day...I guess I should take another glance at the manual. :)

The thing is, how often are you backing up? I too recently noticed the brightening bar when I actually touched the screen.
