I have 2 questions:
1. have any MDX owners been able to get the caller ID, signal strength, or battery information to display on the dash like the picture on the acura website? If so, please tell me what model phone you are using. For reference - Click Here to view the Acura Handsfreelink home page.
2. has anyone been able to voice dial contacts which are in your phone address book (NOT the Navigation address book) using the handsfreelink call button?? again, please let me know what model phone you have if you have been successful.

I have a Motorola V710 from Verizon and I can answer calls and dial numbers which are in the Navigation System's address book, NOTHING else.

I'm wondering if the more advance bluetooth system is only in the TL and RL. any input is greatly appreciated.

I have the same phone you have and hooked it up through the MDX. You have to program the numbers you use the most with the HDL link for the MDX. It holds up to 50 names on it. Read your manual to do this. The TL and I assume RL have a more advance system because my boss has the TL and it shows the number on the dashboard.

I want those options too!

#1 is a nice feature that is not an absolute necessity for me but I think #2 is a must simply because storing contacts in the HFL's address book is a PITA.

I have an 04 TL (non-nav) and a BlackBerry 7100.

This is what the TL has with regards to Bluetooth...

Shows signal strength at all times in audio system display. Shows battery info during active call in MID (Multi Info Display). Does not show caller ID info and can't use numbers stored in phone directly from the HFL.

Unfortunately The V710 bloothtooth is a bit crippled. So I believe it is your phone and not the MDX.

check howardforums.com for information on the v710 and i believe there is some sort of lawsuit going on about it.

I paired my SE-T610 with my 05MDX, when recieving a call I did find it a bit downer when we cannot see the name and number of who is calling. I recieved a couple of calls that were just marketing some products, and adding names and numbers to the HFL's list is a bit of a pain.
