Yes and No.
If you are concerned about performance and handling, go with 18"/19". Anything bigger simply add too much weight and alter the geometry that will impact the high speed handling.
The following setup will keep your odometer readings almost the same as stock:
18" - 255/55/18
19" - 255/50/19
On the performance and handling, the acceleration may suffer unless you go with ultra light forged alloy wheels. The stock wheels are already among the lighter ones.
Snow and ice handling may suffer with wider tires, too.
Otherwise, with proper tire and suspension tuning, the lower profile and wider tires would provide better
braking and handling in most dry/wet conditions. |
