Picked up a Skyfi2 and Blitzsafe for MrsWorm. The size of the unit isn't ideal for mounting (like the Commander or Roady), but the 5 line display and UI on this one will be easier for her.
I'm having difficulty determining and deciding on a good location for mounting.
There's really only one set of install pics in the forums(here) for the Skyfi and that location covering the trip reset and VTM buttons won't work for us.
I'm contemplating using our cellphone's Panavise mount (standard location chest high, right of the stack) for the Skyfi and moving the phone down lower onto the center console, just to the side of the gearshift, with a new mount.
The other alternative @ this point is to remove the not-an-ashtray and mount down there. It'd be a good looking install there, but I'm a bit concerned about the location and her taking her eyes off the road. Not to mention the loss of the not-an-ashtray and cubby access.
Any additional pics or suggested mounting locations (based on experience/usability) floating around out there?
TIA. I'll post pics on the final results (not installing til next week). |

| I have installed my SkyFi2 on the center console. I mounted the bracket onto the "drop-down" 12V power connector. I am also using the the BlitzSafe adapter. Very happy with my install. |

If you could take a pic of the unit installed and of the mount, that'd be great!
Keep 'em coming! |
