This may seem impossible, but unless I'm crazy, it did happen.
The only way I know how to use my Bluetooth phone with handsfree feature for dialing is:
1. Program in numbers in the MDX and then say "dial joe"
2. Say "dial 555-555-5555"
But, yesterday I opened my V710 phone selected the person I wanted to dial and pushed the send button. When I did this, it engaged the handsfree and the call was placed using the car speakers. It was so cool.
This only happened for about 7 calls I made and I can no longer make it happen again.
Has this happened to anyone else?

I have noticed the same thing. Only happened once for me with my Moto v600. However, I have figured out that I can open my phone, select a phone number to dial, press send and then use the voice command to transfer the call to the car by pressing the button on the steering wheel and saying "Transfer". Only bummer with this is that the call must be connected for the transfer to work. If the call is not connected yet and still ringing, the system responds with "There is no call to transfer" or something like that. Would be interested to hear if this works for you as well. The ideal would be for us to figure out how to get it to consistently work like you did. I will continue to play with it and hopefully one of us will figure it out.
Later. |

Hmmm...two thoughts (I have the 710, but I'm not in my car right now. I will try tomorrow):
1) Press voice button on wheel and then dial on phone - maybe it will connect if radio is in bluetooth mode?
2) Initiate a connection with the X's bluetooth from the bluetooth menu on the phone and maybe that will trigger it
I'll give both a shot and report if I have any luck :) |
