I am thinking of trading in my 2002 Base Granite Green MDX with 27,000 miles and my pristine condition 1992 Acura Legend Coupe with 72,000 miles for a 2005 Touring MDX.

My reasoning is that I only need one car (the Legend just sits in my garage) and I will probably spend at least $1,500 on the extended warranty when my 2002 MDX warranty expires in 3/06.

I know I will probably have to outlay some cash here. Any thoughts for, or against selling both cars for a 2005?...anyone out there interested in buying the Legend Coupe?

I wouldn't part from your 92 Legend coupe ! Man thats a jewel and only 72,000 miles ???????????? It's barely broken in !!!!!! DON'T TRADE IT IN, as the dealership will rape you ! 02 MDX with only 27,000 miles ????????????? MAN YOU MUST BE BORED !
NO pun intended.....
I'd keep em both and stay put ! What ever you do, DON'T GIVE THEM BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP !

Is the Ledgend a LS or L model and 5 speed or auto ?

You don't drive much. I wonder how many people get the full 4 years from the warranty. How much of the X is paid off ? What climate do you live in ?

At first I was against this, but you'd pick up a couple of key safety features, VSA and curtain airbags. Most of the rest is bells and whistles but still nice to have.

It is an automatic w/ Leather Legend Coupe L. The color is grey(Rosewood). It has been always garaged and the paint glows with Zaino.

I've been thinking about selling it for some time. It is located in the New Jersey.

did you look at www.kellybluebook.com ?

assuming that both vehicles are paid off, why do you want to sell both vehicles to purchase a 2005 MDX ?? there are alot of great new features on the 2005 MDX but since you don't drive often...whats the point ??

I will probably hold the car for 10yrs and I feel that the 2005 would carry a higher resale value and I would be paying for an extended warranty on the 2002. I think paying a little now maybe worth it for the long run.

I would sell the Legend Coupe to a private party vs. trading it in if you decide to get rid of it.

If money is not a big concern, then trade in for the 2005. An added bonus is that you don't drive a lot, so every time you get in the 2005, it will be love at first sight :)

As for holding it for 10 years, that logic would apply to the 2002 also.
