I have Manik side steps and there is a gap. You can adjust the mount but I purposely put mine a little more down and out to make it easier to step on and up inside the car. I'm not sure how much closer to the body it'll go but I don't think it's as tight as the factory bars.
Now I'm thinking of switching them for OEMs just cause I like OEM products. |

| Forgot to tell you to click on my Gallery. You can see from my angle pic how the gap looks like with those Manik steps. Manik bars are also round as opposed to the factory's oval shape. |

| I have Maniks too, and they are a bit more like outriggers compared to stock, but also seem to make other drivers in parallel slots park further away. |

I originally had the chrome maniks but sold them for the OEM chrome ones when they finally sold them. I liked how the oem ones were closer to the body of the car.
I also find it easier to get in and out of the MDX with the OEM ones.

The stock ones are wider, and more stable. The way I would have gone if they had been available at the time. |
