| Man.... don't all of you guys here already have some kind of ultra high-tech electronic shaver and don't need this kinda thing??!! :) :) :) But this Quattro Razor surely sounds like some kind of AWD cell phone from Audi-Motorola!! (I'm 139073:) Thanks! I normally use the disposable-type Gillette or Schick - whichever one on sale - and this QR will work too...:)) |

We are suckers for freebies. I use a Mach 3 and bought a couple of dozen blades on ebay real cheap. But always willing to test a competitor. |

Probably goes back too far for most of you, used to watch Gillette's Wednesday Night Boxing with my dad. Cant' imagine using another safety razor on a regular basis. |

| I never entered anything, yet I got a free Schick Quattro in the mail. Used it, quite nice actually, but I will stick with Gillette. Been using them for a long time. Darn things are hard to keep sharp though :2: |

Got my razor the other day and tried it yesterday. With 4 blades the head is a tad big. All I had to do was lean it on my cheek and move it 1/2 inch and voila cheek shaved.
At the current rate, I wonder who will come out with a 5 blade razor?

I got *two* free ones, for some reason. Maybe my ZIP code is known to have cro-mag beards or something.
My opinion is that it was worth what I paid for it. I'm back to my Mach 3 Turbo which is the best I've used. I threw one Quattro out and gave the other (still new) to my friend who used it for a week and he tossed it as well.
Of course when the Octo-turbo-macho eight-blade swivelhead glow-in-the-dark teflon-coated titanium razor with Zaino shave gel comes out I'll probably try that too just out of curiosity. |

| Got mine, wasn't very impressed with it's shaving performance, I'd give it a 2 out of 10, but it did have a solid sound when it hit the trash can, at least a 9. Back to the Mach3 for me as well. |

Call me crazy, but I like it.
The thing is huge and weighs a ton, but for my beard it does an awesome nick-free job.
I like the extra tension it has in the swivel compared to Mach3. I wonder if that will stay consistent or whether the Shick sping in the handle will eventually get woblly.
Local grocery store wants like $17.50 for 8 cartridges which seems ridiculous. If I could get the cartridges fro about 75 cents each I'd probably be hooked.
Wonder how long the cartridge will stay sharp? |

Search amazon.com for 'schick cartridges'. Unfortunately I can't post a link that will work across sessions.
The 4 count is a better deal if those are the right ones. Of course you'll need to order some other stuff to get free shipping.
I still love the Gillette. I thought I'd save money and get the generic refills. Not the best idea. |

I was shocked myself! Got a nice shave from it this morning. It is a bit bulky, I like the light feel of the M3 better, but this sucker got just as close as far as I can tell.
I will save it for a backup for now. If I can get the cartridges cheaper than I got the Mach3s on ebay, it may get more use. For now, it's a keeper, unless it can't keep the edge.... |

After a week I have to say it held up quite while. Good backup for my Mach3 which feels more like a sports car and less like a Hummer.

The wife's Quattro arrived in the mail yesterday. Her sister's one arrived there too as she signed up herself after finding out. They were on the phone talking about it earlier today.

I finally got around to trying this sucker and I have to say, it's not bad at all.
Pros - Seems to do better getting the area just under the nose. I got a slighty closer shave than with the Mach 3.
Cons - Weight and size, very bulky.
While I got a slighty closer shave I will stick with the Mach 3 unless Schick (or someone on E-Bay) decides to do some competitive pricing on the blades. Excellent razor for the price paid:2: |

I could not find cheap refills on ebay, as I did with my M3, and while it did shave quite well despite feeling like a truck, in the final analysis it failed the life test. Gillette has that covered.
It is now in recycle, hopefully will not show up as a freebie! |

Well, I've been using the Fusion (manual) for just under a couple of weeks and I have to say I like it, though the aloe strip seems to be wearing out quickly. I've probably only shaved 6 or 7 times in 11 days. I did toss it in a suitcase for a weekend trip so maybe that added to the wear. I wish Gillette/P&G would go back to including a plastic guard on the blades. They certainly cost enough that I'd like to keep the strip away from water if I should happen to leave it in a wet area like my bathroom vanity.
One another annoyance, the grip doesn't wrap around the shaft like the Mach 3 and other previous models. So if I grab it by the sides with wet hands, it just doesn't feel like I can get a firm hold on it.
The head pivots nicely around my face. I haven't really had a need to use the extra blade on the back. It does seem to leave my face smooth and the next day's stubble more uniform than with the Mach 3. |
