| Does anyone know if an aftermarket alarm and remote start void the warrantee? I read alot of members have installed autostarts, but did they have problems when they went in for service? |

No problems here.
Also, I believe, legally, after market alarms will not void the warranty. Unless, of course, they actually cause the fault. |

Here is a good description of the Magnuson Moss Act that protects the consumer in the event a company tries to duck a warranty claim because of aftermarket alarms or equipment in general:

We have had to go to bat for our customers from time to time on this issue. |

| I think as long as it doesnt alter anything, like cutting wires, etc. It shouldnt be a problem. |

That website says, "...a vehicle manufacturer may not make its vehicle warranty conditional on the use of any brand of anti-theft device unless the manufacturer provides the anti-theft device free of charge or ...".
Hmm... didn't an alarm already comes free of charge with the MDX? Never mind the lack of features with the factory alarm, but it's still an alarm, right? What gives?
edit: ps. I'm not looking for a flame war here - just wondering what does that broad statement mean. (I have a Code-Alarm that's hooked up somewhere in there.) |

You are correct. It does not have those features.
Does that mean it's "Not An Alarm" now?? :) |

| Actually, if you want to get technical, Acura refers to it as an anti-theft system. |
