Just what we need; another reason for someone to chase after me an seek revenge.

I bet this is only in the U.S. I doubt a Canadian would flash me a card like this.

Expletive deleted is funny? Imagine my 9 and 5 year old seeing these cards.

No, they're not funny. It's sick actually. Just someone out to make a buck.

I would make cards that are a bit sarcastic, but not insulting.

I will tell you a story that will sort of illustrate my point.

I drive a Volvo S60 with the licence plate "HI THERE". One time a guy pulls up beside me and motions to roll down my window. I do this and he starts screaming at me : " PULL OVER, I WANT YOUR LICENCE, THAT LICENCE IS MINE, I WANT IT, YOU GOD@#$ AS@*#%&" He goes on like this until the light changes. You think I should flash one those insult cards at him?

I hope I never run into someone who flashes me a card.

That's my 2 cents.

Well, I don't think they're meant for delivering a message to a child, but rather an idiot driver. I'm not sure whether driving idiocy is hereditary or not. The kid could ask the parent "daddy, why is that guy showing you a sign saying 'use your signal a$$hole'?" and the parent could answer "well, one day when you're successful and own a BMW, you won't have to use your signal either". Or they could use it to teach the kids a lesson in common driving courtesy. Or on how to handle disappointment +/or anger. Or something like that. A bright side to everything, as they say.

But yes, I think they're funny. I wouldn't use them since I wouldn't want to get run off the road. Or shot.

And for the guy who screamed @ you re: your license. No, you shouldn't have flashed a card like this at him. You should have either ignored him, or pulled him out the window and beat him senseless.

You should hear all the wonderful responses my brother in law get driving his 2003 Viper with the license plate: UWISH. I wish someone WOULD pull him out of the car and beat him senseless!!!!

It's refreshing to see a forum with level headed, respectful ADULTS. These are obviously for the childish drivers on the road, who btw, cause the most problems.

They are funny and certainly reflect what flashes through our minds when encountering rude or incompetent drivers.

They might trigger Road Rage, but probably more likely an accident. Drivers fiddling around trying find the correct sign, and then blocking their own side view when posting it, etc. The rise in driver inattention could result in serious consequences.

Imagine flashing a card just as a trooper happens to pass by.......

Imagine you are flipping through the signs and ready to hold something to you window and then WHAMMO you collide with something.

I suspect that an entreprising litigator would try to use http://www.wrf.com/publications/pub...id=954328122002

And that would be very bad indeed...

They are unutterably stupid and vulgar. Anybody dumb enough to flash those at another driver deserves to have his/her drivers liscense revoked!!!

I don't know about all that. But overall it is a dumb idea. Here's my take; the worst drivers on the road are ignorant to the things around them. They drive 5 MPH less than the speed limit when they are in front of you, but will accelerate to 15 MPH over to stay in front of you when you try to pass. I think the vast majority of these people are just inattentive, and not trying to make others upset. I would bet most drivers wouldn't notice a sign in a passing car's window. The vehicle with the sign would have to honk or flash their lights to get the "moron's" attention. But then the question is: Who is the moron at this point?
