| From reading the Altavista translation, it is the same as the guard we currently have on our bumpers but made from stainless steel. |

| Out of curiousity I also went to the Japanese Honda website of the MDX. One accessory that caught my attention was the front side camera system. Interesting... |

| I think we should double-check the width first as some equivalent vehicles in the market there are narrower, ie. not as wide as the US type and then this step/plate-thing may not fit ours here, ie. not wide enough for ours here.(??) |

I quickly checked the outer dimensions of the vehicle (overall length, width and height) including the wheelbase and they are identical with the North American version. |

I saw that too and thought that was cool. I actually was thinking about something similar to this using the Sam unit since I have one AV input left. But the split view is cool. BTW the JDM version is the same exact size. Another thing I fogot to mention is that accesory for the rear bumper appear wider than the plastic one we have. |

This would also be cool if it comes in matching body colors

Is that driver's side mirror positioned to eliminate the blind spot? Looks kinda weird on a stalk like that... |

| yeah that mirror does look weird but I was referring to the front grill guard. |

| Can I get it.....well, um, sure.......but I'll have to establish the connections to do so, figure out how to import them, etc. It can be done, but I'm wagering that by the time I do, the price will be far out of what anyone would be willing to pay........ |

Mac,
That plastic "grille guard" is the lower body trim- it's standard Acura option stuff. Check out Tim's site. It's available in two colors. |

Mac,
AFAIK, it can be painted to match your body color. handacuraworld can probably do that for you. Yeah bit it can be expensive. |

Then you have the irony of a bumper-protector that costs as much and scratches easier than the bumper it is protecting?
Then what? A bumper-protector-protector? With a bra? And clear vinyl over the bra? Zaino the vinyl?
It does look pretty cool, though. |

Yeah Tim can get it painted for you, I got some Fender Flares painted, just waiting for the weather to turn nice or at least warm.
I will get in contact with my friends brother who lives in Japan and see if he is willing to get it for me and if possible a couple if those who are interested. |

Wouldn't invisible protection be nicer? Paint protection film is a much more affordable way to protect the back bumper ledge. $30 - $50 for the material and you'd have enough left over to protect your side view mirrors or door edges. You can usually order it from any body shop supply store that carries 3M products.
3M Paint Protection Film 4"x 84" strip
I have two dogs that I take to the park often and that film is really saving my paint. I've been installing this stuff for 4 years now so if anyone decides to try this, let me me know and I'll send you installation instructions, or if you live in central Florida, just come over and I'd be happy to show you how.
