Guys,
I am really obessessive about my ACURA MDX except for the rattling part. I know I had been critical in some of my comments on ACURA MDX because of the rattling issue. But< i still have to protect it. I am taking every possible major(slowly and steadiliy as cannot spend at once) to protect my car. ANd I hate dings or scratches. The first and foremost thing to guard the bumber. I want to put front as well as real bumber guards.Do you guys have any suggestion which one is the best for a 2005 MDX

ALso i found couple of pictures, looks like, it is connected to somethig under the vehicle. If that is so, my question is: Will not that bend the body frame? Or will not the grill ultimately it the bumber in case of an accident as the gap between the grill and the bumber is very small? I was looking at PAUlMDX's pictures and had this thought and wanted to clarify.

Can anyone let me know where can I find better grill for both front and rear( I need soem black colour) and can I get some images on the same.

Thanks in advance

Search for Genax. They fit 2005's- I've seen them at Acura of Manhattan. They have both front and rear.
All grille guards do not really protect from damage. They sometimes cause more damage, if they're banged back into the body they are protecting. They should be called "brush guards". But they will protect from bumper dings and scratches, and may stop a very very mild parking collision from damaging the bumper.

A great "protector" of the rear bumper is the tow hitch. I have a Rhino hitch step in mine- I'm parked in the Acura dealer waiting for the valet; some brain-dead fool pulls in behind me and forgets to stop. His front bumper and license plate holder were damaged, and I didn't have a scratch.
Poetic justice strikes again.

My 'Rhino' remain unscathed, but it's nice to know it's ready for idiots!

XLover, I hate to say it, but search "Genax" and "bullbar" and you'll get plenty of pics and pros and cons. Ebay has them occasionally, too. Of course, there is the much-revered hondacuraworld.com you see at the top of the screen to get it from :2:
