I'm looking for bug shield for my MDX. Anyone knows places?

On the top of this page, you'll see a hotlink to Hondacuraworld.com. Tim Polniak has bug shields at good prices, and many have bought them.

Think about putting on a clear bra on the front of your MDX. I have it on mine and my Wife's CRV. They are great. Not a big ugly hunk of plastic.

A quality install is critical. For references, ask around some of the new car dealers in your area. They all have contract installers they stand behind.

I had a 3m product installed when my X was delivered, and I highly recommend it.:D

How much is clear one?

Do you guys know if I can upgrade to my Novagation Sys?

Whatever you do, don't get the Acura brand version. I have it and its a POS. Big, ugly and has really crappy mounting system. It was the only one available when I got it. I wish I'd thought of the clear stuff when the car was new and didn't have tons of little pits in the paint. Now its too late. Next time I'll almost certainly do it.

I just called an installer that was the nearest one to me as listed on the 3m website. They wanted US$443.00 to put the bumper and hood (with side mirrors) protection on, so that route is quite a bit more than the bra approach. Anyone know of anything cheaper?

For those using Scotchgard, any ideas how long these actually last?

One more question, can you use Zaino over it?

You don't want the bumper and everything done, you just need the 3M "Clear Bra" for the front of the hood. Installing the 3M plastic that covers the bumper and headlights is time consuming and takes a lot of skill and experience to do it right.

Cost was a factor to me too so I'm installing the 3M plastic on the front of the hood and the door edges. I've installed the 3M plastic on my motorcycles in the past so I have some experience but it is not as difficult as some would have you believe. If you are handy, go to 3M website for instructions. The key is the wetting solution which is a 75% water and 25% isopropyl alcohol mix you make up in a spray bottle. See other tips by going to 3M website or doing a Google on "Clear Bra" or transparent protective film for auto.:roadtrip:
