FM Modulator install - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi All - Great site. I'm new to the site, but I don't believe my question has been asked yet (sorry if it has). Here's the problem: I have a 2005 base ("Premium") Acura MDX model. I had Best Buy install a Sony Dream DVD System. Unfortunately, when I showed up to get my vehicle I was informed that they could'nt install an FM modulator as the 2005 model is missing some sort of an adaptor (they believe because of the XM feature) and they're unable to connect the modulator (unfortunately, I didn't learn this until after the unit had been installed). I had Best Buy call a local Acura parts dept. to discuss the issue but they were told that Acura hasn't come out with an adaptor for this year's model yet (presumably unlike previous models for which Acura has an adaptor). As such, Best Buy patched in a portable modulator so that I can hear the system through my vehicle's speakers, but there's so much static that its useless. Thus, the only way to enjoy the system is through the wireless headphones. Best Buy recommends I go back so they can install an amp which "should help" with the static "considerably." Query: Does anyone know how to install an FM modulator in the 2005 Acura MDX so that I can listen to my DVD player through the car speakers? Thanks in advance and sorry for the length of this message. ~ Birdie
