Has anyone sucessfully connected a PocketPC with bluetooth to their MDX to play audio through the vehicle speakers? The PDA will pair sucessfully with the MDX (an 05), but I can't seem to get the output to come through HandsFreeLink.

A bluetooth headset works fine with the PocketPC.

I think the bluetooth interface on the '05 only provides hands free link for phone use (I own an '04 so my knowledge is limited). There isn't any interface with the stereo system. :( The other bad news is that no-one has figured out how to do a blitsafe installation in an '05 for connecting MP3 players. I believe the XM Radio uses the AUX input.

On the 05, there is an AUX label in addition to XM, so their may be hope for a new Blitsafe cable, but for audiobooks, bluetooth would be perfect.

Their might be a registry hack on the PDA that would allow the playing audio to look like a phone conversation to the MDX, but I have not found it.

You mean the 05s with RES have a different player than the ones without RES? I have a touring NAV, but no RES.

I dont know if the head unit is different or not, I would imagine not** but who knows. What Im referring to is in my test drives of the Navi and RES 05's the RES had a button that had "DVD/AUX" on it and if I pushed it once the rug rats in the back got Bugs Life, if I pushed it twice it took the feed from the aux-in console in the third row... i.e. the video, audio left, audio right, wired headset plugs etc. I tried my 3rd gen ipod with Y connector on this and it worked. As you know the button is absent on the X's w/out RES

Oh. My '05 has a CD/AUX button, but as far as I can tell, only the CD is functional.
