Husky vs WeatherTech cargo liners - Click HERE for Original Thread

Guys, first let me say, is a cargo liner really needed? I'm taking the family on a short ( 4 days) ski trip to Quebec and maybe a 3 week summer vacation to the U.S. eastern seaboard. I've been comparing the HUSKY and Weathertech cargo liners. The Husky is about 1/2 price of the Weathertech.

Opinions?

JerryiinTO,

I have the Acura Cargo Tray. It comes in any color as long as you like black. Q: Is a cargo liner really needed? It is if you want to keep the carpeted cargo area of your MDX clean. If you are going on a vacation and hauling equipment, it will help protect your cargo area from dirt and spills. Husky and WeatherTech are fine products and you can choose a color to match your interior carpet. Good luck.:29:

JerryinTO ......... How many threads will you start with similar topics?

What color is your interior? I have asked before, but I don't remember seeing the answer. If you have quartz or saddle, then it is absolutely necessary to get a cargo tray or liner. My factory black tray works wonderfully. I would opt for Husky quartz if I could do it over again.

I have a Weathertec (from Tim :D ), and pretty satisfied! To answer your question, yes you should get one to protect your interior/carpet. I do not have one in my QX56 and it is very noticable, especially with kids, strollers, etc..... Or go Ghetto...an old piece of carpet!

I went fo the black husky which was the cheaper of the better two. When it's covered with crap who cares what brand it is. Save the cash for more gadgets.

Steel and black. Good combo. I consider the cargo tray very worthwhile- you can toss anything in the back and not worry about ripping and dirt, and everything slides in and out easier.(:26: )
I don't think the cargo liner normally is necessary unless you're hauling a lot of hay or dogs. Even so, I'd want a cargo tray under it.
The Acura cargo tray has the big MDX logo, which is cool.

I've had one in my MDX since they first released them. I have the Weathertec one. Its gotten lots of use and saved stains and cleaning hassles in the back. It also keeps crap out of the little well where I keep tools/stuff. Its way easier to clean than carpet. Great for when the kids throw their snowy skis or I put my muddy mtn bike in the back.

Guy,
Where you get your Husky cargo tray? How much do you pay for?
Thanks

I agree with tzeus, if you have kids and/or planning to haul alot of things a cargo is very helpful. You don't have to worry about damaging the carpet. I have the Acura Cargo tray and with the stroller in the back, IMO saved the carpet.
