Does anyone get caller-id to function on the 2005 MDX via the HFL. I've seen numerous posts where people say their phones work fine, but I haven't seem anyone specifically say whether the caller-id works.
I'll start:
Verizon Motorola V710 - no caller-id. |

| I don't think that is a functionality. I have a SonyEricsson T616 with AT&T/Cingular and all I get is "Incoming Call" |

| It doesn't work on the MDX, but it does work on the 05 TL. |

| Drop my MDX for service and get TL as a rent car. In few minutes connect my phone via Bluetooth. When call get thru I can see name and number on display |

| No caller ID on the Moto V551 or the Audiovox SMT 5600, for an 05 MDX. |

In no way I want to hijack this topic, but how do you like your SMT 5600?
I'm having one maybe tomorrow and can't wait to play with it. |

Let me give you my 2 cents.
After reading about, and waiting for the MPX220 for months, I got to handle the MPX220 and the Audiovox 5600 together.
Wow, for me there was no decision. The clam shell "style" of the MPX220 just wasn't enough to sway me away from the look and feel of the 5600. Assuming both phones are the same quality, the 5600 candy bar form, slightly larger screen and thinner size made it the winner for me.

I really like the SMT5600 due to its small form factor and lightweight (only a 110 grams!). I can very easily stow it in my front pants pocket. It doesn't bulge or weigh like a rock. The MPX, even as a clam shell, is heavier & bulkier.
Even though it's lightweight, it feels solid and not plasticky/cheap.
The 5600 has Windows Media 10 and is generally stable. Maybe it's the apps I run, but about once a week it locks up on me. For example, last night I was using it via bluetooth in my MDX and it wouldn't make a call out until I rebooted.
I hear, though, that there maybe a new version of the SMT / C500 with a QVGA screen! http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/i...ion=expand,7699
I'm glad I only signed up for a 1 yr contract with ATW... |

Well, I got it!
This phone is the best I got so far. At the same time I also got the Krusell case I ordered from Ebay.
Best case too. It fits like a tight glove.
If you don't have Krusell case, let me know because I have two. Don't ask why. Well, I messed up forgot I am already the highest bidder on other and did a "buy it now" on other but for the sake of not affecting my Feedback, I bought two.
So far, programs: I got SMSnotifier, AutoFlight, Bluetooth Switch, Weather on it. More is coming....
I love this phone. |
