Hey, folks,
Picked up a certified 02 with nav yesterday.
First off, I'm pretty damn happy.
Next, If anyone has pics handy, can you post the install of your XM Skyfi or Roady? I can't decide where to put my Skyfi2, and I'm looking for options.
The other thing...I've been reading a couple of threads about the installation of XM (like this one: http://www.acuramdx.org/forums/show...15&pagenumber=1). There were a couple of issues addressed in passing that have concerned me, and I'm wondering if anyone can help out...
1) One user commented that if you have nav, there can be problems with the Blitzsafe adapter. Can anyone confirm this?
2) Another user remarked that the sound through the Blitzsafe is not as good as the cassette adapter. I thought the Blitzsafe gave the same direct connection. Is there any degradation of sound associated with using the Blitzsafe? I don't want a wire running across my dash to the cassette adapter, but the FM mod is unacceptable.
3) Any specific warranty violations with such an install? Is it worth having the dealer do it?
I've traded up from a CR-V. My XM was the latest addition to it, and I'm now officially dependent on it, so it's coming over to the MDX.
