i saw an older mdx at a parking lot the other day and noticed that the shift knobs were all black leather with chrome trim. i liked that much better than the newer ones with the plood insert. my newer designed knob with plood and angular design seems kinda tacky in comparison.

will be trolling ebay for an older style. was thinking of getting a momo knob til i saw this.

The Acura burlwood shift knob is a worthy investment.
I swapped out the one that I had in my '02 and put it in my '05 'cause it looked so nice.

I had the all leather shifter in my 03 MDX, but I prefer the wood and leather knob from the 04/05.

I just traded my 03 for an 05 and I still have the 2004 MDX 04 Plood and Black Leather shifter, which is a perfect match for the 2003 MDX plood. It will also fit your 2001 and 2002 MDX, but the plood color match is slightly off.

I'm selling the 04 Plood/Black Leather knob for $30, plus $5 UPS shipping.

burlwood knobs are nice. but they appear too high on the stalk. woulda gone that way otherwise. the tapered chrome collar beneath the plood and leather knobs is necessary imo.

I replaced the stock black one in the picture with the burlwood 04 knob. I like it.
