Hello fellow Mdx'ers.
I just got my maintenaince done on the vehicle at about 28K, it cost about $450 at the Acura Dealership here in Toronto.
What I'm wondering is, is this really worth it? Am I better off taking it to someone else for 'maintenance' I'm not quite sure, so I'd like some opinions on it if possible.
Also, 2000K after my maintenance, Maint' Required light is constantly on. Is it because they forgot to flick the switch off, or is it b/c something seriously could be happening under the hood?
Any comments, suggestions, would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks. |

If the maint required light has been on since they serviced it, they forgot to reset it.
$450 sounds pretty steep. Always try and do just what you need done (oil change, rear differential fluid replacement, etc). The package deals are usually a rip off. |

Procedure to reset this light is in your owner's manual, Just look under Maintainence in the Index. But to save you the trouble:
(1) Turn the engine off, (2) press in the Select and Reset buttons together(they're on the right of the instrument cluster), (3) Hold these buttons in and turn the ignition on. Continue to hold the buttons in for about 10 seconds until the light resets. |

Thanks for the instructions! I will give them a try myself! |

From the receipt, can you tell us what had been done?
$450 is really a high number! They must have done a lot of un-necessary maintenance. |
