Satin Chrome sidesteps VS Bright Chrome sidesteps - Click HERE for Original Thread

I purchased an aspen pearl 2005 MDX last Friday and had ordered the satin chrome sidesteps and the satin chrome mirror guards. The dealer delivered the MDX to my home last Friday evening. It was raining that night and the next day, I washed the MDX and noticed that the side steps looked bright and shiny. Since I have not actually seen any satin chrome side steps, except for on Acrua's web site, it is difficult for me to know if there is a big difference on how they look, in comparison. My vision was that the satin chrome would look better on the asper pearl.

So, my question is for anyone out there who has seen or has the satin chrome sidesteps and may have chose them over the bright chrome, OR Vice Versa. The dealer has no problem in replacing them but I hate to drive 2 hours to the dealer and wait for them to replace the existing side steps and mirror guards, unless, the satin look way better than the bright chrome. Thanks for any input you might have.

Also, thanks to everyone who has contributed to this web site. It was a key factor in me deciding to purchase the MDX, and so far, I love it!

Peace!

It is really a personal choice which sidesteps you go with. It is funny that I was never a big fan of chrome but I started innocently enough with chrome wheel. Then I needed the sidesteps to match…where will it end? I have a Taffeta White and I think the bright chrome is the best match. However you have the aspen pearl and the satin would probably look good. I did see the aspen and bright chrome sidesteps in the Acura showroom where I bought my MDX and I liked those too. Guess not much help so in the end go with what you like. There are a lot of threads here about chrome vs. satin chrome vs. black.
