Hear clunking sound from the front - can't find anything wrong on the front end, but got two trailer arms which don't look identical. I'm pretty sure the right side is bent up and needs to be replaced, but want to get confirmation from another owner before I go and order a replacement.

Here is the straight left side:

Here's the right side, with what looks like a serious twist, but I'd like to confirm w/ one of you that its not just a design peculiarity, but the result of some sort of road damage (been over ladders at 80 mph, dropped off tall curbs which I couldn't see, all kinds of crap has happened, don't remember which, what, or when, and it don't matter now).

Thanks if you could take a look-see for me.

Just checked mine and they are straight. Must have hit something with the X that put the hurt on you arm.

YIPES!! Ditto mine are straight. I doubt they will cover that under warranty. But try never the less.:4:

That is one serious twist. Get that fixed. You might want to have the whole suspension gone through, there could be other damage...

Thanks everybody for checking.

The trailer arm will be a straightforward swapout.

I've also found the frame bushing on the primary lower arm has been wacked out of place and sits cocked over. Gotta hydraulic press to machine that back into place; at least no cracks, bends or stress marks at the flange to frame attachment point.

Thanks again.

Alright amigo, give in--how did you do this? Doin' some mean off-roading in the X lately?

Please compare/ contrast "trailer arm" vs trailing arm.

Thanks.
