I am starting to think about a new vehicle for my wife. Today I visited BMW to see the 530 and drove the Acura RL.
I think my wife would like either. I would just have to not tell her about all of the high tech stuff on the RL or it would intimidate her.
Does anyone know if there is an RL website like this one for the MDX? Didn't think to ask the salesman.
Thanks.

You might want to check out the new Infiniti M series. I saw one a couple of weeks ago at the dealer. It looked very nice... |

I would be glad to check Infinity but we do not have any dealers around here. I am really not interested in buying a vehicle that does not have a local dealer. I guess though that many people do not fell this way as there are many Lexus here and the closest dealer is 100 miles.
Frainc thanks for the link.

I love Acura but I feel that the new RL is over priced at $50,000! The RL should top out at around $45,000 MAX!
I would go with a BMW hands down for that kind of money.
Just my opinion... |

By the time you load a 530i up to the RL level it stickers around $55K.
An A6 is very very close in price, with far less power.
A well equipped E320 4Matic stickers around $57K.
The RL is priced close to competition, but I predict that you will see bigger discounts in the comming months... |

just out of my curiosity
Why a lot of time, people keep saying that Japanese cars are over priced but not saying the same thing to BMW ones (Maybe other European brands)??
Don't some of you think that some BMW models are actually over priced??
my boss has a X5 3.0 which was priced around $45000. one year old BMW has been going back to dealer for reparing at least 4 times already. the air conditioner was out in the first month. and it is not even made in Germany.
By the way, the X5 is my boss's daily driver.

www.acurarl.org is pretty good as well.
By the way, great car. We don't regret at all deciding to purchase the new RL after looking at BMW, Audi, Lexus, etc. You get a lot for your money and I am still finding gadgets on the car that I did not know were on there! Too many people feel they have to buy a BMW or Mercedes because of the brand recognition to get a nice car when in fact you are paying the extra $$$ just for the name. Not worth it in my opinion. |

exactly my point
Thanks and congrats on the RL

Best RL site around.....:1:
I agree, great people there.
I recommend of course, the new GS from Lexus:D
You can get near 4k off the RL, as its selling slow already and the M/GS and updated E/5 and new A6 are ahead of it. |

Beat me to it. Most Euro cars are overpriced junk. The ONLY reasons they cost as much as they do are shipping/duty charges and way overpaid autoworkers. |

| I don't know if anyone had posted this site.....acurarl.com......good site for information on the '05 RL. We just got one three weeks ago. Great car........BMW 530i & MB 320 (350) are great cars also. What sold us was the way the car came equipped. Also, got a good deal at $44,900. |

Ditto. German cars are ranked dead last in reliability now. If I'm paying $80,000 for a car/suv, the FIRST thing I want is not to waste hours and hours getting it fixed at the dealership.
And RLs are going for around $45k at dealerships in Western NY. They are getting some competition from the AWD GS300 but gadget-wise the Lexus doesn't hold a candle to the RL. On the other hand, the GS rides much better and feels more luxurious....decisions, decisions :p |
