Hi all. This is my first post to the site. I have been reading all your posts over the past 4 months after I placed an order for a Nighthawk Black Pearl Touring back in February. Getting my new baby this weekend!!!
Question: Does the Touring Package include the housing for the trailer hitch? I am a little confused beacuse my dealership advised the towing package is installed with the touring option but the actual trailer hitch (ball) portion is an extra $299 and no engine cooler. I noticed on Tim's site that the entire package is a little over $500. Does anything with regards to towing come with the Touring Package?

Nighthawk welcome and congratulation in advance when you finally take delivery of your MDX!
The touring package does not come with the housing or towing package unless the dealer adds it on as part of a package. It is also my understanding (and as mentioned in previous posts) that Acura will not let dealers install the trailer hitch unless the engine cooler is installed too and if a hitch is installed without the engine cooler it void's the warranty.

Nighthawk;
Order the trailer hitch from the dealer for $299. Get it in writing. "Install trailer hitch per factory recommendations" or some such.
They are REQUIRED to install the coolers if the hitch is installed by a dealer.
If they deliver the car with a hitch and no coolers, go to Acura. You'll get them for free.
If they tell you it's extra, point out that they agreed to install the hitch for $299, and that includes everything.
I really don't believe in 'playing fair' on this issue, since Acura has pulled a 'bait and switch' on the issue of trailer/towing capacities.

Welcome to the forum. Congratulation on your almost soon to be delivered MDX. I have the same color as you. Love it, but as you probably know it's hard to keep clean, but looks great when it is clean.
Hope you get what you need for your hitch. I won't be towing with mine, husband does that with his.:)
